Santa Rosa medical technology startup Sonoma Orthopedic Products has raised $1.5 million in a new round of venture funding.
Founded in 2005, the company has developed two implant devices for repairing fractures of the wrist and collarbone.
An orthopedic surgeon implants the devices inside the bone using minimally-invasive techniques, resulting in less pain and better healing, the company said.
The new funding was disclosed in a filing with federal securities regulators last week.
So far, the startup has raised more than $25 million. The company’s investors include EDF Ventures, Asset Management Co., Split Rock Partners and MedVenture Associates.
Sonoma Orthopedic Products raised $12 million in a 2009 funding round.
