Lanx Inc. Announces Corporate Expansion (press release)
Expanded its corporate facility into a single 80,000-square-foot facility in Broomfield, CO for better surgeon training and prototyping capabilities.
Various management changes:
• Pamela Snyder is the new VP Clinical/Regulatory Affairs. She last worked as Director of Clin/Reg at Spineology.
• Paul Hickey is the new Sr VP Marketing and R&D. He has experience at Zimmer and Zimmer Spine.
• Dana Klapper Cohen is the new General Counsel.
Lanx Inc., a privately held medical device company focused on developing and commercializing innovative devices for spinal surgery, today announced that it has expanded its executive team in Operations, International, Clinical & Regulatory Affairs, Marketing, Research & Development, and Legal. In addition, Lanx has expanded its corporate facility, and combined its operations into a single 80,000 square foot facility.

Wayne Chrystal joins Lanx as Vice President of Operations with more than 20 years of operations experience in various multinational entities. Prior to Lanx, Chrystal was the Vice President of Operations at Compex Technologies, a then publicly traded international medical device company.
Michael Hughes has been appointed Senior Vice President of International to lead the company’s ongoing international business expansion. He has nearly two decades of sales and sales management experience in the medical device and spine industry, including over 14 years with Biomet, Inc. & Interpore Cross, where he was responsible for their international spine expansion.
Pamela Snyder joins Lanx as Senior Vice President of Clinical & Regulatory Affairs. Snyder brings more than 25 years of experience in the spine and medical device industries, specializing in clinical and regulatory affairs, strategic development, program implementation and management and clinical research. Before coming to Lanx, Snyder served as Principle Regulatory and Clinical Consultant for US and OUS medical device companies, in addition to serving as the Director of Clinical & Regulatory Affairs at Spineology, Inc.
Paul Hickey has been appointed Senior Vice President of Marketing and Research & Development. He brings over 20 years of spine and medical device experience in global strategic planning, marketing, new business development, and product development. Hickey was at Zimmer, Inc. for 18 years, including several key orthopedic and spine marketing and engineering leadership roles, most recently serving as Vice President of Global R&D and Emerging Technology for Zimmer Spine.
Dana Klapper Cohen has joined Lanx as General Counsel. Cohen brings almost two decades of legal experience to Lanx’s management team. Before joining Lanx, Cohen served as the General Counsel for Bacterin International, Inc., a publicly traded biotechnology company. In this role she was responsible for all of the company’s legal matters and served as the sole in-house legal resource for the company’s initial public stock offering.
The new Lanx campus in Broomfield, CO, now totals 80,000 square feet, offering expanded surgeon training and accredited device testing facilities and an upgraded device prototype lab. It also includes a new, larger product showcase to feature the Company’s growing platform of spinal stabilization and fusion technologies, including its flagship Aspen(TM) MIS Fusion System.
