K2M TURNS 10 – BIGGEST PRIVATE SPINE COMPANY (Orthopedics This Week) Johhn Kostuik, M.D.’s baby is 10 years old and has grown up to become the largest private spinal implant company in the world. K2M Group Holdings, Inc. (K2M) turned 10 years old on January 24, 2014. Before co-founding K2M, Dr. Kostuik was the chief of spine surgery at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He also served as president of the Scoliosis Research Society and the North American Spine Society of which he was an original member/organizer.
