Should Ortho manufacturers provide implant warranties?

Dr. Lawrence Dorr says yes... the manufacturers need to have skin in the game.  In 2008, Dr. Dorr was the first to call for recall of Zimmer's Durom acetabular cup.
Makers of defibrillators do.   Shouldn't orthopedic implants be warrantied?
