Orthofix promotes CFO Vaters to new role of COO (press release)
Orthofix said Tuesday it promoted Robert Vaters toCOO. Vaters had been CFO since September 2008, when he joined the company. Orthofix appointed Brian McCollum as its interim CFO. He is the company’s senior vice president of finance. The Dutch company did not have a COO before Vaters’ promotion.
Symmetry Medical Appoints Former DePuy Orthopaedics President Thomas J. Sullivan As President and CEO (press release)
Symmetry Medical, a Warsaw, Ind.-based orthopedic and medical device manufacturer, named Thomas J. Sullivan as president and CEO. Symmetry’s current president, Brian S. Moore, will become president of business development and continue sitting on the board of directors. Mr. Sullivan was previously the president of supply chain and business process division of Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems. Mr. Sullivan has also served as the commercial and government contracting processes for J&J DePuy.
