We all know that implants are becoming commodities with a downward spiral in pricing. The device companies copy each other until there is no differentiation. In the future most "implants will be implants", just like "hips are hips" today.
However, a new product opportunity will emerge in a few years - Data. Data will become the new technology differentiator for ortho companies. More on this later.
