Medtronic Xomed Inc. is seeking $2.5 million in financial incentives from Jacksonville and the state for an expansion of the company's Southside operation that would create 175 jobs.
Medtronic currently employs 600 people in Jacksonville and would spend $14.1 million to build and equip additional space at its Jacksonville location for the expansion, according to a project summary by the Jacksonville Economic Development Commission.
